Jim Carrey played Fletcher Reede in a film “Liar Liar.” Everyone knew that Fletcher lied his way through life, even his son. While blowing out the candles on his birthday cake, this little boy wished that his father would stop lying for just one day. This wish turned Fletcher’s life into a chaotic mess. It forced him to tell the truth in every circumstance. It’s a humorous movie that came to mind while praying over this week’s Gospel.
