Jon Meyer

Jon is a 1969 graduate of the University of Oregon, where he received his BA degree, and was also commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. After graduation he attended pilot training and flew the C-130 Hercules for four years. He then attended graduate school at Oregon State University where he received his MBA in 1976. After graduate school he joined the Air Force Reserve and served a total of thirty years. He retired as a Colonel, receiving the Legion of Merit.

He retired from CSX Transportation in 2012 after 27 years in the Sales & Marketing department. Prior to that he worked nine years for Weyerhaeuser in their transportation department.

Jon was a lifelong Episcopalian until he was confirmed into the Roman Catholic Church on the First Sunday of Advent, 2014. He is a lector with St. Ignatius Church and serves on the Interfaith Committee. Jon’s wife Patricia passed away on June 25, 2024. Jon continues to reside in the Canton neighborhood of Baltimore City. His two daughters live in Anne Arundel County, and he has two grandchildren.
