Dennis Hanratty

Dennis Hanratty is a proud member of St. Ignatius parish since 2013. He is committed to continuing and enhancing St. Ignatius' outreach to the Baltimore community. Dennis received a B.A. in Political Science from Fordham University and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees, also in Political Science, from Duke University. Dennis worked for 32 years at the Library of Congress (LC). He was an LC Foreign Affairs Analyst for a number of years, editing books in LC's Country Studies - Area Handbook Series. Dennis then transitioned to management, where he spent a decade as LC's Human Resources Director. In retirement, Dennis plays the Celtic fiddle for family and friends and enjoys travelling with his wife, Rosanne. Dennis and Rosanne have one child, Sean, who resides in Shanghai, China, with his wife, Karen.
