Guns to Gardens

Guns 2 Gardens is a National safe Surrender Network inspired by the work of Raw Tools (raw tools.org). It’s vision is to create a network of congregations across the country that have an ongoing ministry of disarming unwanted guns.  The metal scraps will be forged into garden tools and then donated to Baltimore City community gardens which mentor to the city’s youth.

This ministry embodies Isaiah’s vision where “…they will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks.  Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.”  — Isaiah 2:4

Donations for gift cards and to help cover expenses are most welcomed. Online donations can be made here and donations by check can be mailed to the First and Franklin Presbyterian Church Office with “Guns2Gardens” in the memo line.
