Contributions

Contributions to St. Ignatius Church and to the St. Ignatius Historic Trust Fund are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Gifts of securities may be made directly from your brokerage account to ours. Contact us for details. At times people designate their donations to the church for a particular ministry, e.g., Loaves & Fishes or Ignatian Spirituality Project, or for the Poor Box. We are grateful for your generosity.

Electronic Giving. Faith Direct is a way to simplify your regular offertory and Historic Trust Fund contributions to our parish by arranging to have one electronic transfer each month directly from your bank account to ours. Donations may also be made through a credit card. Go to www.faithdirect.net and see how easy it is. Our church code is MD301. For more information, contact Deacon Paul Weber at 410-727-3848 or paulweber@st-ignatius.net.

One-Time Gifts. We now have the ability to accept donations on-line from your credit card. Click here and follow the prompts. We are grateful for your generosity.

What is the St. Ignatius Historic Trust Fund? You hear the collection announced the first Sunday of every month. Have you ever wondered what that is and what the funds are used for? This is a separate tax-exempt corporation set up by the parish to collect funds for the maintenance and upgrade of our facilities. These properties are needed to support and make possible the various activities of the parish. For example, when the church needs repairs, from plumbing to roofing, the Fund pays. The current rebuilding of our historic organ is being funded through the Trust Fund. When any repairs are needed on any of our many buildings, e.g. the parish offices, the rectory, the Francis Xavier House, the Jesuit Apostolic Center at 801 St. Paul Street, the Fund pays. A listing of all of the expenses for repairs was contained in the annual financial report letter sent to all parishioners. The funds contributed to the Historic Trust Fund, because it is a corporation legally separated from the parish corporation, are not subject to any outside claims. So when you hear the announcement on the first Sunday of the month of the second collection for the Historic Trust Fund for the upkeep of our facilities, you will know what the funds are for. Thank you for your generosity.
